About

There is a way forward. I want to help you find it.

I have worked with hundreds of people at pinch points in their lives, across the NHS, charity sector and private practice, in London and Hong Kong. Throughout this work, I detected a common theme. I worked with lots of people who were so smart, so switched on and so successful in their respective fields, yet they didn’t have the tools to overcome the obstacles to their own happiness or contentment. These people were excellent problem solvers who could spin multiple plates in different areas of their life without breaking a sweat, but when it came to issues like imposter syndrome, social anxiety or procrastination, they just couldn't find a way to solve the problem once and for all.

In my conversations with clients, many would tell me they felt ashamed of their inability to find a way through painful thoughts and feelings. They had often delayed reaching out for help in the hope that they could find a way to solve the problem themselves. By the time they ended up in my clinic room, they were usually at a point where their issues were starting to seriously affect their work, relationships and health. They felt as though everything they cared about and everything they had worked so hard for was under threat, because no matter what they had tried, they couldn’t find a solution, and things seemed to be getting worse.

Meet Hannah

I trained as a psychologist because I feel passionate about empowering people with the knowledge and skills they need to find a way through times of poor mental health, getting them back to a life that works for them. My experience has taught me the immense value of connecting people with the right ideas and techniques when it comes to anxiety, low mood and other mental health concerns. Timely mental health support can be truly life changing, and my time in the field has only strengthened my belief that everyone should have access to this when they need it.

The work I love doing the most is:

  • Helping adults who are at stuck points in their lives to find ways forward using evidence-based psychological therapy

  • Working with individuals, families and professionals who are affected by stroke, brain injury and other neurological conditions

  • Supervising psychologists, counsellors and therapists who work in a similar way to me

  • Spreading knowledge, awareness and challenging stigma about mental health through training sessions and information sharing
